God is Greater than…
“You are from God, little children, and have overcome them (spirits other than God);
because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.”
1 John 4:4
Can you be victorious in your thought life? Can you conquer the fear and temptations that you fight? Can you be about maturing in the faith? Can you endure until the end? Yes! And again, Yes! Because “greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world”!
God is able. He is the greater power and you have the mind of Christ and access to the Father. You can sit on a treasure chest and die of starvation or you can dig deep and use the resources that are at your disposal and be fed. God has given us His way, His guidance, His counsel, His heart, and access to it all through the word of God and through prayer. Don’t starve spiritually while sitting on the treasure trove of love and mercy and grace and peace and joy!
Enter into His presence and He will give you all that you need to overcome the evil one in the battlefields of your mind and this world. God may not change your circumstances, but He will bring peace and wisdom and even a sense of humor in the midst. You can face your greatest fear and conquer it through Him who conquered death! My biggest fear for years was having to live in an incredible amount of pain constantly every day for the rest of my life. As I was complaining about it one day to God, He reminded me that He didn’t ask me to handle tomorrow or the next 20 years, but rather to stay in His presence today and that He would be there to walk with me through it. As I gave Him Lordship over the future in this area, I found peace. As I walk in the now, there is no fear of tomorrow!
Whatever you are facing; no matter how big your giant is; no matter how insignificant you feel; God is greater! Spend time meditating and believing that and your faith will ignite spiritual powers and answers to prayer. Sometimes God does change our circumstances once we put our faith in Him in spite of the circumstances. So jump off that cliff in faith knowing that God will either place a solid piece beneath your feet or give you wings to fly!
