“How blessed is the man who has made the Lord his trust,
And has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood.
Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which You have done,
And Your thoughts toward us;
There is none to compare with You.
If I would declare and speak of them,
They would be too numerous to count.”
Psalm 40:3

God thinks about you! All the time! So much that we can’t even count how many times we are on His mind! As a parent, I understand this a little bit. My children, even grown and gone from home, including my daughters-in-law and grandchildren, are always on my mind. I pray for them throughout each day. I beg for favor and blessings, for conviction and trusting. I pray that God will call them ever to His throne and that they will bow before Him each day. I do this because I know that I have no power over their lives, but God does. When I think about them, I must turn my concerns to God. When God thinks about them, He has the power to bring about miracles and transformation!

We can trust this God who thinks of us with such love and longing. He is able to bring all good things about for us. He is able to call us back to truth. He is able to heal our bodies and our hearts. He is a good God who is able to do more than think good thoughts about us. He can act upon those thoughts and command circumstances to form us into His image. He promises that all things in my life and the lives of my children will be for our good. He does not promise that only good things will happen to us. In the midst, though He promises to be there. We can trust Him to work it all out! He is a good God!
