I Need You!
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering,
for He who promised is faithful;
and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
not forsaking our own assembling together as is the habit of some,
but encouraging one another;
and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
Hebrews 10:23-25
We need each other! We need other Christians. We need to be with others that can encourage us through song and biblical teaching. We need to be fed constant truth, or the world will overtake us. When I was studying the cults in high school and college, I had a pastor and a professor say to me that I needed to spend twice as much time in the Bible as I did studying the cults. There was spiritual warfare going on there and the only way to protect myself was with my sword, the Word of God.
We are in the world. We are bombarded with lies and falsehoods. If we just let this culture happen to us, we will be apathetic to God and our Christian walk. We must be proactive, engaging in discussion and encouragement with other believers.
