The Great Counselor

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go;
I will counsel you with My eye upon you.” –God
Psalm 32:8

Stuck? Ask the Great counselor. How do we receive this counsel? Through the Word of God, Biblical songs, other Godly people, a heart of prayer and petition, and peace in our hearts.

Tracy often uses the illustration that you can’t turn a truck that is not moving. Be moving towards what you know – what you believe God would have you do. If He needs to change your direction He can. I never read about a person in the Bible who spent time begging God to use them. Rather they were living their lives, and God got their attention. He is a big God. He is able to get your attention especially if you are seeking Him.

Wondering why you don’t seem to know God’s direction? Ask yourself: am I living a life lined up with God’s word – spending time with Him, praising Him, giving Him the glory, seeking Him through relationship, confessing sin, and having a pure heart before Him? If you can answer “Yes” to these questions, then ask for contentment in your present situation. Sometimes God uses our discontent to move us onward, but sometimes our discontent is a lack of trust. Ask God to help you discern between the two.

May you always seek God with a sincere heart and follow His guiding with expectation,
