Peace – Not Confusion

“…for God is not a God of confusion but of peace…”
1 Corinthians 14:33

This little verse is tucked up into the context of orderly worship, but it apples to so much more! Our God is a God of order. Look at the world around you and see design and planning. Look at mathematics and see line upon line, precept upon precept. God’s character is truth and therefore He resides in perfect peace. He offers that peace to us when our lives and thoughts line up with His truth. “Seek peace and pursue it”, Psalm 34 tells us. When we are living in chaos in our thought life or in our physical material world, then we are not relying upon the God of peace. Get your house in order (literally and figuratively) and then allow the peace of God to invade your space. Spend time in praise and proper perspective of who God is and His great love for you and His care for all things pertaining to you. His thoughts for you are greater than you can count (Ps. 139)!

If a decision is leaving you confused and agitated, then seek God and keep seeking Him until pece pervades. Don’t seek His answers as much as just seek Him. When you stand in His presence and are in His word, He will make all things clear.
