Doing What’s Best
“All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable.
All things are lawful, but not all things edify.
1 Corinthians 10:23
Whether, then you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31
We should not ask ourselves if something is good or bad, but rather, does this help me in my relationship and maturity with God? Many things are good, we must strive for those things which are excellent in the eyes of God. We are only granted each day once, let your day be full of excellence and of seeking God.
Under grace the law was fulfilled through Jesus Christ’s sacrifice. We are no longer held to the letter of law, but rather to the heart of the law. Our works cannot save us, but they can bring fulfillment to life and help us to grow closer to the Savior. Choose those things that are profitable and edifying to your spirit and to those around you. Relax. Enjoy. God has gifted you uniquely. Be yourself and worship God by giving yourself to His glory in all that you do. He takes delight in you!
