Hope in the Light

|

“If therefore your whole body is full of light,
with no dark part in it, it will be wholly illumined,
as when the lamp illumines you with its rays.”
Luke 11:36

Jesus is the light. Where light is, darkness must flee. At the moment of your salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ, Jesus dwells within you and you become the temple of the Most High God! Your Creator chooses to live inside of you! Light begins to flow through your soul and it illumines each dark corner. Making Jesus Lord of each area of your life that He exposes as darkness is Christian maturity. And just when you think you have given it all to Him, He searches out another hidden room and lights it up!

Have you allowed the Light to flood your rooms of finances, career, pride, fears, relationships, your words, your emotions, your past, your present, your future, your children, your spouse, your home, your time, your dreams your pursuits? This is the walk of a Christian. When God shines His light on a dark corner, turn it over to Him and He will bring the light and warmth and healing. We can hope in Jesus because He “…has searched me and known me. [He] knows when I sit down and when I rise up; [He] understands my thoughts from afar. [He] scrutinizes my path and my lying down, and is intimately acquainted with all my ways. Even before there is a word on my tongue, Behold, O Lord, [He] knows it all!” (Psalm 139:1-4)

“Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me and know my anxious thoughts;
And see if there be any hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way.”
Psalm 139:23-24
