When Life Hurts
When life hurts, I can…
- Trust God – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6
- Trust His call on my life – “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” Phil. 1:6
- Take one day at a time – “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough troubles of its own.” Matt. 6:34
- Put first the Kingdom of God – “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all of His righteousness, then all of these things (your needs) will be added unto you.” Matt. 6:33
- Praise and receive peace – “I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter His courts with Praise.” Psalm 100:4
- Set reasonable expectations – “Now the God of peace…will equip you in every good thing to do His will.” Heb. 13:20-21
- Explore and discover – “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” Gen. 1:1
- Know God is faithful – “God is faithful through wom you were called into fellowship with His son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”1 Cor. 1:9
- Let go – “But when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth.” John 16:13
- Know there is joy in obedience – “If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love…so my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” John 15:10-11
