Hope in Victory
“…for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh,
but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortress.”

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood,
but against the rulers, against the powers,
against the world forces of this darkness,
against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
Ephesians 6:12
Dr. J. Vernon McGee says, “Satan has a well-organized group, and his organization is manipulating in this world right now. The heartbreak, the heartache, the suffering, the tragedies of life are the work of Satan in the background. He is the cause of the great problems that are in the world today. “
“Rulers are demons who have the oversight of nations. They would correspond to the rank of generals. Powers are the privates who are the demons wanting to possess human beings. The world forces of this darkness are those demons who have charge of Satan’s worldly business. Spiritual wickedness in heavenly places are the demons in the heavenlies who have charge of religion.”
Galatians 1:4 says”…who gave himself for our sins, so that he might rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father.” It is a spiritual battle that we are engaged in, but we already know who has won and who will have the final victory! God does not save us and immediately whoosh us away to heaven saving us out of Satan’s domain, but He does rescue us from the present evil age for all eternity by claiming us as His children and heirs. He also promises to be with us through it and gives us weapons to use to defeat Satan’s power and control over us.
We can know victory even now, even here in this world. Victory is praising God in the midst, knowing His joy in spite of, deep seated peace no matter what the circumstances, and the ability to endure through the promises of God’s word.
May you battle with the armor of God this day and not your own flesh. May you know sweet victory, and give all praise and glory to your Father in heaven.
