God is Satisfied
“As a result of the anguish of His soul,
He will see it and be satisfied;
By His knowledge the Righteous One,
My Servant, will justify the many,
As He will bear their iniquities.”
Isaiah 53:11
This is prophecy of the death of Jesus. Note that because of the anguish Jesus had because He understood the separation of God and man as He hung upon the cross, that He chose to satisfy the debt and justify us before God. It is because He is the Righteous One that He could take our sins upon Himself and claim that we would be righteous. He is satisfied! We don’t have to do penance, or expect punishment, or wonder if we are good enough. He is satisfied. Period. It was finished upon the cross. We just have to live in thanksgiving and praise and wait upon the Lord to accomplish what He has intended for us.
Don’t spend your time beating yourself up trying to please God, He already delights in you! If you have sinned, confess it and know that He is faithful and just to forgive you of your sin and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Submit to Him. Humble yourself before Him and know that He delights to forgive you and to bless you.
