Don’t Wallow, Fly!

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,
Instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly,
righteously and godly n the present age…”
Titus 2:11-12

We know that we do not have to live righteously to earn our salvation; it is by grace, and grace alone! Praise the Lord! But God does call His own to live godly lives denying worldly desires and living sensibly. We have been set free from the power of sin and death (Romans 8:2), so we should live as one set free!

It is sad to see a butterfly who has been changed from a ground dwelling caterpillar to a beautiful creature that can fly, still crawling on the ground. He has been set free from the power of gravity, so why is he choosing to walk in the mud? We have been set free from the power of sin, so why do we choose to wallow in the mud that this world has to offer. There is so much joy soaring into the Light and sitting in God’s lap in relationship, in enjoying fellowship with other believers, and in being free from guilt and shame.
