A Warning

“For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.
Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward.
Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son.

Just as the political parties have polarized over the past 20 years, we are also seeing a polarizing of religion. Some day we will be asked to renounce Jesus for Muhammed. I just read a book that I highly recommend every Christian to read – The Islamic Messiah by Joel Richardson. In the book, he clearly outlines the Islamic religion according to their own books – the Quran and the Sunni. They, too are expecting Jesus to return. But their Jesus was a man taken up to God and coming back to destroy the Jews and lead the worship of the world towards the Christian Antichrist. They do not accept Jesus as God or the Son of God. In the Islamic books, their “messiah” is equivalent ot the Biblical Antichrist.

How do we stand against this falsehood? We have to know the truth! Truth is found in God’s word. In the first 4 verses of 2 John 1 we see the word “truth” used 5 times followed by an admonition to “walk according to His commandments.” Dear children, please be in the Word – learning and growing. Your future here and in heaven depends upon it.
