Lessons on Prayer: Clinging

“But you are to cling to the Lord your God.”

Joshua 23:8

Are you clinging? Prayer is our lifeline to the omnipotent, almighty God who “…fights for you, just as He promised you.” (Joshua 23:10). Prayer is petition for our own sakes, so that we can pour out our hearts to God. Prayer is also revelation as God speaks His words of comfort and promise to our souls. Prayer is diligence, endurance, and perseverance through a situation knowing that God is right there with you and that He will bring all things to our good and for His glory. But we must cling to Him in love and belief. We must cling to His promises of peace in the midst and His presence with us in all things.
